From the Press

"It seems like the texts where written today…"

Haaretz

"Maybe the most important theatrical event of the year…"

Ynet

"A purely political event!'

HaBama

"Extremely moving and relevant theater…A small and shaking masterpiece…A perfect satire: painful, funny, accurate, and deeply moving."

Tarbut 2004

"The small theater was nearly full, most of the audience where yet to be born when the play originally premiered. They enjoyed themselves. They can learn a lot from this play that was once a true political satire, and not just an attempt at mocking the country's leaders, but piercing commentary that is meant to hurt the audience itself. There's something bold about that."

Haaretz – 13th of May 2005

36 years after the play created scandal in post 67 war, victory intoxicated Israel, "You and I and the Next War", Khanokh Levin's first satiric comedy returns to the stage, with it's original cast, and is as relevant as ever.

Khanokh Levin, then an obscure young playwright, clearly foresaw the imminent dangers of a militaristic society that conquers its neighbors, and acts immorally, and the subsequent decline in the respect of human life.
The skits and songs; "You and I and the Next War", "A Black Soldier Strike a White Soldier", and "Checkmate", are presented in an up-to-date theatrical language, that was highly acclaimed by critiques and audiences alike.
