36 years after the play created scandal in post 67 war, victory intoxicated Israel, "You and I and the Next War", Khanokh Levin's first satiric comedy returns to the stage, with it's original cast, and is as relevant as ever.
Khanokh Levin, then an obscure young playwright, clearly foresaw the imminent dangers of a militaristic society that conquers its neighbors, and acts immorally, and the subsequent decline in the respect of human life. The skits and songs; "You and I and the Next War", "A Black Soldier Strike a White Soldier", and "Checkmate", are presented in an up-to-date theatrical language, that was highly acclaimed by critiques and audiences alike.
