Excerpt from the judges' announcement

A man sentenced to 18 years of prison solitude for exposing the country's atomic secrets. The play is a collage of time and space depicting his childhood, relations with his father; work in the nuclear facility, his years in the philosophy department, and his internal ideological conflict up until his fateful decision.

A strange story loosely based on actual events.

This is the story of Mordechay Vaanunu, the atomic technician who revealed Israel's nuclear secrets to the Sunday Times, in 1986. He was abducted by Mossad agents in Rome, and was sentenced to 18 years in prison. Vaanunu was nominated for the Nobel peace prize, and raised international pressure for his release.
